Language Manager

Using Language Manager to tanslate FirstStop WebSearch.

Open the project. Choose "File | Open Project..." menu item and select WSActiveLang.ntv.lng

Create a new language. Choose "File | Create New Language..." menu item or press button on the toolbar. The language file creating dialog should appear.

Set appropriate parameters and press "OK" button. You won't be able to create a file if its abbreviation corresponds to the abbreviation of one of the already opened files or if above mentioned abbreviation contains less than three characters.

Open the project if it is not opened yet. Choose "File | Open Language..." menu item or press button on the toolbar. The language files opening dialog should appear. Mark languages you want to open and press "Open" button.

Translation process

Open the project if it is not opened yet. Open an appropriate language file if it is not opened yet. Select the cell to be translated and change its value. Repeat this process for all strings that are to be translated. Remove the "untranslated" mark (blue corner) for cells that are not to be translated ("Edit | Is translated" menu item or "Is translated" popup-menu item).

Translation process

When the translation is finished, save the language ("File | Save Language" menu item). The new language will be saved as WSActiveLang.<LNG>.lng, where <LNG> is an abbreviation of your language. For example, if you translate into Italian the language file will be WSActiveLang.IT.lng.

Now that the language files are ready you can use them in FirstStop and choose your language from the "Languages" menu.
