You can change the behavior of the FirstStop WebSearch window and its search bar on the "Behavior" tab of the "Options" dialog.
To view/modify Behavior of FirstStop WebSearch™:
1. From the "View" menu, choose "Options...," or click the "Options"
2. In the "Options" dialog box, select the "Behavior" tab.
General settings
- Show splash screen on start - determines whether to show the splash screen when initiating FirstStop WebSearch™.
- Minimize to system tray - determines whether to minimize FirstStop's window to tray or not.
- Close to system tray - If checked, FirstStop window will minimize to tray and the desktop search bar will show up when you close FirstStop. Otherwise, FirstStop WebSearch will be closed, and you will have to manually start it when you need it next time.
When FirstStop is minimized in the Windows tray, double click FirstStop icon to activate it again.

Desktop search bar setting
- Place FirstStop search bar on my desktop on Windows start up - If checked, FirstStop search bar will automatically show up on your desktop every time you turn your computer on.
