Batch Editor is a tool where you can create and edit your batch searches.

To open the Batch Editor, select Batch Editor from the Batch menu.

By default, when you open the Batch Editor, it creates a new blank batch where you can add searches.
To create a new batch at any other moment, you can click the new "New Batch" button.

To open a batch from a disk file, use the open "Open" button.
To save current batch to a file, click the save1 "Save" button.
To save current batch to a new file, click the save as "Save as" button.

To add a new search to the current batch:
  1. Click the add "Add Search" button.
  2. A dialog box will pop up where you should select the search sources that will be used for the new search.
Double click a search source in the "Available Engines" list to select it for the search.
Double click a search source in the "Selected Engines" list to remove it from the search.
Once you've selected search sources, click the "OK" button.
  3. In the standard Query Builder enter all search settings, such as search keywords, the desired number of search results, filters, and the search description.
  4. When done, click "OK" to save the search.

The new search will be added to a list of searches in the Batch Editor window. To add another search, repeat the same steps 1-4. If you don't need all advanced settings of the Query Builder, you might find the Simple Batch more suitable for your needs.

To delete a search from the current batch, select it and click the delete "Delete Search" button.

To edit a search:
1. Select it and click the edit "Edit Search" button, or just double-click it in the list of searches.
2. Change the selected search sources, if needed, and click "OK".
3. Change the search settings in the Query Builder, if needed, and click "OK" to save changes.

In the "Save results in" edit box specify the location on disk where search results for the current batch search will be saved.
Search results will be saved both in FirstStop WebSearch proprietary XML-based WSR format and in HTML format. An index.html file in the specified directory will contain a batch search report with links to search results for individual searches.
