When you first launch FirstStop, the browser window is divided into two sections: the left side panel indicates your selected engines and databases and the right side panel shows the results of your search.

Before running a search:
  1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet.
  2. Select the most appropriate search category in the "Categories" menu (i.e., "General Web Search" if you are searching the whole web, "News" if you are searching among the latest news, etc.).
  3. Ensure that the search engines you wish to use for the search are ticked (located in the lower left side panel).
  4. Choose the appropriate search mode. (FirstStop WebSearch™ Business and Visual editions only)
